JIDI - The John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera, Bodleian Library, Oxford

This is a very large and diverse collection which covers the spectrum of social and typographic history 1508 - 1939 with a separate post 1960 section. It is strongest in Victorian and Edwardian ephemera. The principal subject areas covered are: transport, sport, entertainment, theatre, political/religious/social/economic history, art and artists, authors, book trade, private presses, printing and typography and advertisements. For this JIDI project, the John Johnson Collection will contribute soap advertising and political prints.
